Bespoke 134m2 Transportable Home Delivered to a Soft-Ground Site in Gisborne
Just after 6am on a Monday in early August, a 134m2 home rolled onto a site near Gisborne on the back of a Hastings House Removals transporter. By mid-morning it was up on site and looking every bit the home it was designed to be. Two bedrooms. A bespoke plan built around some very specific client requests. Louvre window systems. And a patch of soft ground that needed a proper plan before anyone turned a wheel.
The build is the part that gets the photos. The delivery is where the experience shows. This one had both.

Not every home we build starts with one of our plans. This one started with the clients. They knew exactly what they wanted, right down to the window systems, and our job was to turn that list into a home that works on their site and in the Gisborne climate.
The louvre window systems are the standout. Louvres give you fine control over airflow. Crack them for a breeze, open them right up on a hot East Coast afternoon, and close them tight when the weather turns. They suit the way people actually live in a place like Gisborne, and they were on the clients' list from day one.

Because the home was built indoors in Cambridge, every one of those specific requests was handled on the factory floor with the trades on hand. Nothing improvised on site in the weather, nothing left to 'sort out later'.

Every transportable home delivery comes down to one question: can the ground take the load? On this site the answer was yes, with care. Soft ground and a 134m2 home on a transporter is not a combination you leave to chance, so the planning started well before the truck left Cambridge.
